After much anticipation, PennyBurners is proud to announce on behalf of penny auction, ShareTheSpoils.com, that they are back in action!
Their first auction is schedule to end on Monday, December 5th, at 8pm. The winning bidder gets their choice of an Apple iPod Shuffle or a $50 gift card from Amazon, Home Depot, Starbucks, or Target. Then, the winning bidder and the two runners-up split the "bid pot" three ways! Curious about this innovative twist on the penny auction model? Click to learn more about ShareTheSpoils.
For seasoned ShareTheSpoils fans, there are a few site changes: ShareTheSpoils NO LONGER accept PayPal for bid pack purchases. [See: Penny Auctions Say "Good Riddance" To PayPal] However, they do proudly accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
For Payouts, they will have several options: PayPal, AlertPay and Chase QuickPay. Their default payout method will be PayPal, but as always, you choose. Payouts will now occur once a week, on Monday's. The Monday Payouts will include all winnings from Thursday to Wednesday for the week and half prior.
For example, all of your winnings from between Thursday, December 8th, to Wednesday, December 14th, will be paid out on Monday, December 19th. So, if your last win is on a Wednesday, you'll be paid the next Monday (5 days later). If your last win is on a Thursday, you will be paid out the following Monday (11 days later).
Why will ShareTheSpoils not pay in seconds like they used to? Well, because their new processor just takes a lot longer to credit their accounts. Simeon Schnapper and his team expect over time to be able to drastically reduce the turn around time for payouts; however, we believe a max turnaround of 11 days is still very good.
Simeon states, "We will be keeping a running total of what is owed to you. At any point you'll be able to convert them into bids. Just let us know."
Right now, their mechanism for tracking various players "BANKS" will be manual, but they are developing a component for the site that will make this automatic, transparent, and always available for you to see and track.
Simeon also notes that they have changed the timer to a 15 second timer. They have also upgraded their servers and software. Bidders can now see their bids total change LIVE and will not require a refresh.
ShareTheSpoils is going to start up slow. One auction a day for a few days, and then they'll be back to 3 auctions per day, and then eventually 5 per day.
The PennyBurners team is absolutely thrilled to see ShareTheSpoils up and running again, and we wish Simeon and his team the very best as they continue to grow and succeed in the penny auction industry.
