While LincolnBidz is not new to the Penny Auction scene, in the six months they've been open, they've proven to be one of the most honest and reputable Penny Auction sites around. We've had the privilege of interviewing with Kelly from LincolnBidz, and we are now sharing the results of that interview with you!

Q: Tell us about LincolnBidz.com:
A: LincolnBidz.com is a Penny Auction website that launched in November 2009. We are incorporated in the sate of Texas, where we were both born and raised. We are family-owned and like to think of LincolnBidz as one of our babies! We like to offer fun items that you don’t find at every other Penny Auction site. I am online while auctions are ending most of the time, so if there is a question or a request, I can get it taken care of right away.
Q: What types of items do you usually auction?:
A: We have, by far, the widest variety of items up for auction. Anything from fitness equipment to household items, to gift cards to electronics. Plus, most items are exchangeable, so if you do win something and you decide you don’t really want it, it can be exchanged for a gift card or Bidz.
Q: How many auctions do you run in a given day?
A: We have 4 – 5 auctions scheduled to end each evening, Saturday - Thursday. (We currently take Friday evening off.) As the site grows, we will be adding more auctions to end each day.
Q: How much do bids cost?
A: Bidz are a flat rate of $0.75. We have heard so many complaints that site owners are catering to the power bidders by allowing them to purchase bidz at a lower rate than the non-power bidders, so we’ve leveled the prices.
Q: Are you currently offering any promotions?
A: Our current promotion expires at Noon CST on 5/19/2010… All Bidz Packs are receiving bonus Bidz, bringing the total per-bid-cost down to just $0.60 each.
Q: What unique/special features does LincolnBidz.com offer:
A: LincolnBidz.com is the originator of the Free Bidding Day… We offer First Free Sunday, where our members are able to bid on everything for free on the 1st Sunday of every month.
Q: With so many penny auctions on the scene, why should penny auction bidders use your site?
A: We have unique items… Most are not found on any other Penny Auction site, and most of which are exchangeable for a gift card or Bidz.
Our auctions end quicker and for a lot less financial commitment when compared to the bigger sites.
We believe we have the best Customer Service and we know we have one of the quickest shipping times.
Q: We know that the penny auction world is constantly evolving. What can bidders expect to see and experience from LincolnBidz.com in the near future?
A: We are working on several things… First, we are adding a tiered win limit and/or limited wins auctions, i.e., Rookie or newbie-type of auctions. Second, we are adding the ability to turn off the Linky Assist and run Nail-Biter Auctions. And third, we are adding a Live Chat to make communications quicker when I am online.
Q: It is clear from your desire to go through the PennyBurners Site Verification process that you are dedicated to honesty and transparency. Why is this important to you?
A: Call it naive or call it honest, but when we first started building LincolnBidz.com we had no concept of “shill bidding,” or even “bots” for that matter. The thought of those never even entered our minds. We have learned so much about this industry during the time it took to build LincolnBidz.com, and now we really want bidders to experience the great deals that can be had without the ugliness that others have turned the industry into. We are honest people with morals and ethics, and we feel this industry needs to have more of that!!
Q: We see that your site supports Charities. Can you tell us more about that?
A: We run a Charity of the Month Auction each month. The auction runs for 7 days, and the winner of the auction gets to pick the National Charity that is important to them for the next months Charity of the Month Auction. LincolnBidz.com donates $0.60 per bid placed plus the $10.00 fixed price of the auction. If the winner chooses to fund the auction hen, that $10.00 is added to the total and donated. The donations are made in the winners name and an email is sent to the auction winner from the Charity showing the donation has been made.
Q: Is there anything else you want PennyBurners users to know?
