I didn't go back and read ALL the posts on this forum but I have gotten the impression that MANY are not happy with many things about ibid2save.com ?
Obviously, you have plenty of experience on this forum dealing with other PAs, what are your thoughts regarding ibid2save ?
Do you feel the auction fee, and, higher than necessary shipping fee's are warranted ?
When you compare them, and, there fees to other PAs were do you feel they stand ?
In MY opinion, if you have a business and that business is to sell items, the least they should do is have an idea as to what method they'll use to ship those items and charge people the proper price. That would eliminate people like myself complaining about paying 10.99 and 5.99 shipping fees for the 2 items that arrived today, and then seeing, that it only cost them $1.81 per item ?
Do YOU think it should cost $19.99 to ship a small, lightweight IPOD ?
Maybe if they are sending it overnight FedEx it should other than that it shouldn't.
I'd appreciate your opinion regarding, ibid2save :thumbup2:
Thanks for asking...
ibid2SAVE has changed a LOT in the last few months, so my opinion will be limited to this current version of ibid2SAVE.
I do not agree with them adding/increasing the fees without adding additional value for the change. However, I do like that they are blatantly sustainable, which is something you cannot get from most penny auction sites. If you can see how a site makes money, I think it could/should increase your trust in the site's longevity.
What do I think about their shipping? It's expensive, BUT you agree to it when you bid. So you should factor that in before you bid. You can join their Prime, to get free shipping, but I would wait to see if they make any future changes, before paying a $100 without promo bids attached.
The site might not be the cheapest place to get most of their items, but unless you are shopping for the item you are bidding on, then you are the judge on whether or not you want to pay for the item. I did bid on and won items that I knew were cheaper on Amazon, but I would have never looked for them on Amazon, plus they came with bids - so I bid on and won them.
Not that .02 cents was a run-up auction but the point I am making is that IF someone bids on an auction and wins, and then, doesn't pay they should be booted off the website !
:pantera:
I don't think it's bad, since if you just ran out of bids, and were over bid, you may still want to purchase it. The item then counts against your win limits, and no longer counts against the actual winner's win limits.
I think having an items on your win limits for 28 days might be a punishment in itself, since it's taking that spot and you don't have the benefit of having it. I just don't think punishing a customer is a good idea, unless they do something against the rules.
ibid2SAVE has a 3 day (strict 72 hour) window to pay for a won item, then it goes to the next runner up, and so on until it is payed for, or refused by all runners up.
Today, I was sitting in traffic waiting for the traffic patrolman to wave me forward. I was late picking up Katie and thought "damn does this guy have two hands, or what?!" he turned to face my direction, where I saw that he had only one arm. =( FML.
Today, We have dogs. We love them... most of the time... =)
They've had accidents in the past, and we decided to have them cleaned. That was done yesterday, and today one of our dogs has some stomach bug, or just hates clean carpets... =( FML.
