Bumping.
As has been discussed in the Defending Tag & Defend thread, Facebook profiles for bidders have become increasingly popular in the community. In fact, a lot of members of PennyBurners have one. I am connected with a lot of you on Facebook, and I appreciate the banter that happens between us more than you know :)
However, several people (like @realbidtowin) maintain that Facebook provides the perfect atmosphere for collusion, given that it cannot be moderated by a site owner or third-party, and that anything can happen in private messages, groups, and emails.
In fact, in the Defending Tag & Defend thread, @realbidtowin stated, "Personally bidders should not have facebook pages associated with their user names and PA sites should adopt that rule."
Do you feel that site owners should adopt a rule like that, and what would you do if one or some of them did?
Site owners, is this something you have or would ever consider? What would the benefits/ramifications be of such a rule?
Bumping this thread, as we would love to have a couple more moderators on board to help us keep up with the active threads and conversations :)
See the first post for requirements/responsibilities!
Bill, I have unapproved the last two posts in this thread, as they were not related to PennyWagon and were directed toward Amanda/PAW. While you are free to discuss almost anything here, we would like to curb the cross-forum-bashing, as it does not promote the positive, helpful atmosphere we are trying to maintain here at PennyBurners.
I hope you understand :)
Congrats, by the way, on winning the contest! :thumbup2:
I'm really sorry to hear all of this.
What are the reasons for the delay in shipping? Have you received a definite timeframe on when wins should be caught up?
