I thought some of the household stuff was pretty cool, like the countertop rotisserie, air purifier etc. But yeah, I'm not crazy about the direction the product lines seem to be heading.

I feel ya, I been watching stuff end pretty cheap the last few days then we get stuck with people using BIN on our auctions. I got lucky that I got a little more help than you. I got about 460 bids worth of help from people thinking they were going to get a TV cheap to only realize there was someone with software bidding at twice each time.

There's definitely a combination of the above. It's been great for me this week. Hopefully it can continue.

Things I'd like to know.

1) Why ever go Full Bin when you can go smart Bin?
2) Why would 2 bid agents set their agent at anytime when there's another guy sitting with a BA at 5 secs left?
3) Why anytime BA a 15 sec auction, when there's a guy BA'ing with 5 secs left and a single bidder whose constantly bidding.
4) Why pay 3000+ bids for a 240 bid pack.
5) Why is notgonnastop a mongoloid?

My opinion to each question in the order they were asked

1) Some reasons I can think of to go to full BIN or beyond are to get the win with a high bid count which can help you on your next 11 wins, also if a there is a bidder that is running against you that is a PITA you may do it to let them know it's not a good idea to do whatever they did to you.

2) inexperience or maybe one thinks they can run the other bidder out quickly and then deal with the 5 sec BA. I like to stop mine frequently and place a manual bid or 2 at a long going twice to check who's hanging out at the bottom of the timer.

3) Don't know why one would do this but it probably puts a smile on the last second single bidders face. In this scenario I would think the anytime BA should be replaced with last second bidding also until the 5 sec BA was no longer running then the bidder should set a BA.

4)Reputation or a feud? I wouldn't do it myself. It would take probably 15 killer 240 auction wins to recoup the loss even if you win. Some cheap wins could follow as a result.

4) Testoterone, beer muscles, attempt to remove a player from being a bid-collector (i.e. eliminate the competition), or see response to #2.

I've personally done that a few times. It makes sense if it's getting crowded and you need to clear a little more space for yourself. Especially with BCs who you know don't really have deep pockets based on how you've seen them play for months. It's not a bad investment to put someone else out of business if they're consistently in your way. You'll recoup in the long run.

And if someone wanted to be really mean, now's the time to test how deep Jdontcare's pockets are given that they just blew their entire cheap bid stack on that auction. They're sitting at 240 plus whatever's left of what they bought, and it'd be interesting to gauge their appetite for another net loss after that one.
