Bids4Cheap is going to be down for the next 2 and a half weeks, under going major upgrades & enhancements. These are a series of upgrades that Brandon, owner of Bids4Cheap, has been planning for a long time. PennyBurners had the opportunity to touch base with Brandon, and get some details on the redevelopment. Read the short interview below.

Why is Bids4Cheap down?

To create new and exciting auctions, and also work on some features of the site!

When will Bids4Cheap be open for bidding again?

We expect to be up no later than 9/17/2010.

What upgrades or changes is Bids4Cheap doing while down?

We will be creating a whole new line of auctions as well as working on getting new auction types added, and other things that bidders have requested. We will also be implementing a new payout system for cash, to help prevent backlogs!

What does Bids4Cheap have in store for its users?

New items, more items, higher value items. Quicker payouts, customer support number available 12 hours a day. New auction types, new additions to the site to make things run better, and just an all around better experience.

How do these changes benefit the users?

Users will have more auctions and higher end auctions to bid on. Users will also have different ways to win! Bids4Cheap will also be giving Bid Packs away every Friday and Saturday that we are down!

Will Bids4Cheap still be responding to emails while these changes are being made?

Contact forms will not go through until 9/3/2010. After 9/3/2010 Bids4Cheap will respond to ALL emails!

Will Bids4Cheap be doing more traditional advertising?

Bids4Cheap prides itself in having one of the worlds leaders in internet marketing on our side! We will use forms of advertisement that some have not seen before, as well as some traditional types. We look to truly bring a new light on our site, and the penny auction industry.

Will Bids4Cheap ever sell an item worth over $300 for more than $1.35?

That depends on the bidders! Every dime we make to the positive goes back into the site, so as our auctions bring in more money, that means better things for our users!

Are there any other changes or upgrades already being planned?

We have several things in the works for charities, apps, and other things that I cannot disclose at this moment. As always Bids4Cheap will try to lead the industry in what it provides for its bidders!

Is there anything else Bids4Cheap would like to add?

Bids4Cheap would like to thank all its users for sticking with us throughout our few months of being in business. It is because of YOU that we are able to do what we are doing now. I have hoped for this moment since the day I opened my site. We will be giving bid-packs away every Friday and Saturday night during our down time. We will do this in a fun Free Click-a-thon style. You will see Bid-pack auctions ending on Friday and Saturday night, those are free to bid, and you do not pay the end price. The highest bidder wins the bid-pack! This is to get everyone in the spirit of bidding, and also have some fun while you do it! No bid buddies of course!

Q: Tell us about Bids4Cheap.com:
A: We are a South Carolina based company with a strong background in computer repair and support. I (Brandon) use to work for a large computer company in this area, in which I controlled multiple stores. I then decided to branch off into my own business. After looking for several ways to find cheaper items for my customers, I stumbled across Penny Auctions! After months of research I then decided why bid on these sites when I can create one that will have better features, cheaper prices, and some of the best support around!
