Office Of Fair Trading Forces BattyBid To Dissolve Its Company

In a recent press release by the OFT http://oft.gov.uk/news-and-updates/press/2010/139-10 they concluded that BattyBid was shilling its users, and was breaking the law. Sadly, they officers of the company, UK Penny Auctions Limited (UPAL) were not forced to pay restitution to their victims. Read the OFT's BattyBid closure summary by click the link.

BattyBid.com seems to have had a slow down in users (You're welcome BattyBid) but are still using bots to make the site look busy. Here is a list of bots we found bidding today:

We will be submitting more complaints with their host this week, and doing more research to shut them down.

BattyBid.com has also modified their script to make it more difficult to get new evidence of their cheating. Too bad for them they are wrong. =) We are not going away until they close up.
